Construction number 657. Registered in
France as F-WWLO for pre-delivery test flights. First flight
on December 23, 2006. Aircraft registered in Pakistan as
AP-BHJ. AP-BHJ named "Mohenjodaro - Indus Valley
Civilization" and received Sindh Province tail design as
part of Pakistan province tails livery applied on PIA
aircraft. AP-BHJ delivered to PIA on December 29, 2006. On
August 31, 2012, AP-BHJ during landing in rainy weather at
Allama Iqbal International Air Port (AIIAP), Lahore, veered
off Runway 36R and came to rest on soft grassy area. The
aircraft was operating flight PK-653 from Islamabad to
Lahore with 42 passengers and 4 crew members. All people
aboard the aircraft remained safe. The aircraft's starboard
side main landing gear and number 2 engine suffered
considerable damage in this incident. Aircraft damaged
beyond economical repair and withdrawn from use. Aircraft
bare structure/hull auction notice given in October 15,
2019, newspaper. |
