number '23' painted on nose. Registration PH-FFI cancelled
on March 5, 1964. Registered in France as F-BUFE, March 1973.
Operated by TAT (Touraine Air Transport). To PIA, January
26, 1979. Registered in Pakistan as AP-BAL for PIA. On July
10, 2006, AP-BAL was operating PIA flight PK-688 from Multan
to Lahore. The aircraft crashed shortly after take-off from
Multan Airport after experiencing engine problem. All 4 crew
members and 41 passengers aboard the aircraft died in this
accident. Registration AP-BAL removed from Pakistan Aircraft
Register on December 19, 2007. |
