1955 in United Kingdom (UK) as G-18-185. Acquired by Pakistan Air Force (PAF), serial number S4438.
Aircraft registered in Pakistan as AP-AMD, 1961. Aircraft acquired
by Pacific Aviation in 1961 and registered in Australia as VH-ADL. Registration AP-AMD removed from Pakistan Aircraft
Register on May 13, 1961. The plane was flown from Pakistan
to Australia in 1961. Captain was Arthur McLachlan,
Managing Director of Pacific Aviation. Aircraft acquired by
Air Express. Aircraft named "TASMANIAN DEVIL". Aircraft had
an accident and was repaired. Leased to
Interstate Parcel Express Company (IPEC). Aircraft retired, August 17, 1979.
Placed on display at Drage Airworld, Wangaratta, Victoria, Australia. (Later to
drop "Drage" from the name). Airworld closed down 2002.
October 25, 2002, aircraft sold to Roger Hargreaves in
United Kingdom (UK). Aircraft acquired by the Australian
Aircraft Restoration Group for their Moorabbin Air Museum,
June 2004. Preserved at Australian National Aviation Museum
- Moorabbin Air Museum, Moorabbin Airport, Melbourne,
Australia. |
