1961. First flight on January 10, 1961.
Registered in Pakistan as AP-ALO for Pakistan International
Airlines (PIA). Delivered to PIA on February 6,
1961. Registration PH-FCD cancelled on February 10, 1961. On June 25, 1964, AP-ALO was operating PIA flight to
Dacca, East Pakistan, with 4 crew members and 22 passengers
onboard. The Fokker F27 was approaching Dacca when a line
squall passed over the airport. After crossing the runway
threshold, the plane encountered severe gusts and limited
visibility. The aircraft stalled and landed very heavily,
causing both wings to break off.. Aircraft damaged beyond
repair. Registration AP-ALO
removed from Pakistan Aircraft Register on May 27, 1965. |
