Sold to Pakistan, May 5, 1948. Registered in Pakistan as AP-ABZ
for Pak Air. On May 9, 1948, AP-ABZ was on ferry flight
to Pakistan when it met an accident at or near Shaibah
military airfield of Royal Air Force (RAF) south west of
Basrah (Basra) in Iraq. The aircraft ran out of fuel 66
kilometers North-West of Shaibah military airfield and made
forced landing. The aircraft was damaged beyond repair. All
three people aboard the aircraft survived the accident.
Registration AP-ABZ was removed from Pakistan Aircraft
Register on June 29, 1948. |
