Transferred to Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on
April 1, 1955. Flown by PIA with designation Douglas DC-3
Dakota. Aircraft named "City of Cox's Bazaar". Registration AP-ABB removed from Pakistan
Aircraft Register on February 21, 1961. Aircraft sold to
Royal Nepal Airlines and registered in Nepal as 9N-AAH on
July 24, 1962. On August 1, 1962, 9N-AAH was operating Royal
Nepal Airlines flight from Kathmandu (Nepal) to New Delhi
(India) when it crashed near Tulachan Dhuri in Nepal. All
four crew members and six passengers died in this accident.
Aircraft wreckage was found on August 9, 1962, on a mountain
top at 11200 feet altitude. |
