To Royal Air Force (RAF) as Dakota III, serial FD894, May 27, 1943. Middle East August 1, 1943. India, November 5, 1943, 194 Squadron of RAF. To Government of India, January 30, 1947. Registered in India as VT-CJU for Orient Airways in March 1947. Registered in India as VT-CPJ for Orient Airways, 1947. Registration VT-CPJ not taken up by Orient Airways. Initially VT-CP* registration series starting from registration VT-CPA from India's civil aircraft register was reserved for aircraft to be registered in then newly independent Pakistan. However registrations in Indian series VT-CP* were not taken up by aircraft to be registered in Pakistan and eventually registration of those aircraft began in Pakistan with Pakistan's own aircraft registration nationality mark. Registered in Pakistan as AP-AAJ in October 1947 for Orient Airways. Aircraft declared beyond economical repair due to heavily corroded centre section. Certificate of Airworthiness (CoA) cancelled on April 20, 1950. Aircraft scrapped. Registration AP-AAJ removed from Pakistan Aircraft Register.
